Hi all! My name's Brad Ellis, and I'm the worship leader here at Leawood Pres. I was born and raised in Olathe, KS, and graduated from Olathe South and then K-State (#EMAW) with degrees in Marketing and Spanish. Some of my highlights while at K-State were being involved in Farmhouse Fraternity, Blue Key Honor Society, guiding campus tours with New Student Services, and studying a semester abroad in Seville, Spain.

I'm married to my beautiful wife, Kathryn, whom I met while working at Kanakuk Kamps in the summer of 2010. We worked together at kamp for 4 years, and got engaged the last week we worked together. Kanakuk holds a very dear place in our hearts. Kathryn has worked for KLIFE, a Kanakuk parachurch ministry, for the last 4 years as well.

Throughout my college career, I had opportunities to lead worship for Navigators student ministry, as well as for a local church my senior year and Kanakuk during the summers. I love all facets of worship, both old and new, and am thankful for the opportunity every week to help connect others to The Lord through music. Some of my favorite Christian artists are Phil Wickham, All Sons & Daughters, Needtobreathe, and Rend Collective.

When I'm not leading worship, I'm working at home on my full-time job of my small business, Ellis Custom Creations, specializing in custom made wood furniture. I also love watching sports with my Dad (and am unashamedly a K-State grad that's also a lifelong diehard KU basketball fan), binge watching "The Blacklist" and "Shark Tank" with my wife, eating Chipotle or Joe's KC BBQ, and playing late night Settlers of Catan with my friends.

Once again, I'm so happy and grateful to be a small part of this great church staff. I desire to be a leader, not a performer, of worship, and always want to be approachable to any feedback you may have.
