Peter Casey is coming to Leawood Presbyterian from Kanakuk Kamps where he served for two years on the Kampout team. Prior to working at Kanakuk he spent three years in Kansas City working as the Chapter Director for KC KLIFE. Peter married his better half and wife Sophie in April 2018.  They have a passion for discipleship and are excited to join the Leawood Pres team in helping to raise up the next generation of Christ followers.

Sophie Casey is one of the newest members of Leawood Presbyterian’s student ministry team along with her husband, Peter. There is a huge place in her heart for the south due to her family’s connection and her own four years in Oxford, Mississippi. But she is originally from Southern Indiana and spent four summers working at Kanakuk Kamps, so the Midwest already feels like home. After graduating from Ole Miss with a degree in English, she went on to study at the Kanakuk Institute in Branson, Missouri. Throughout each stage of her life, she has had incredibly influential women love on and push her toward truth. She is excited to serve LPC and its middle/high school students alongside Peter, as they strive to live out 1 Thessalonians 2:8.
